DO YOU LOVE ‘A WALK ON THE MOON’ AS MUCH AS WE DO?|
If you had been lucky enough to attend the Santa Barbara Film Festival to watch a special screening of ‘A Walk on the Moon’ and listen to Pamela Gray, Scriptwriter for the project; you might have had a few surprises.
All admirers of Viggo Mortensen and Diane Lane who are familiar with this film will know this picture
We have all assumed that this came from a deleted scene. However Pamela Gray revealed that this is merely one of many deleted scenes – scenes which illustrated the growing relationship between ‘Walker’ and ‘Pearl’ and which were cut as the Studio felt that ‘Walker Jerome’s’ character was becoming too sympathetic and that in turn ‘Pearl’s’ character would therefore become unsympathetic.
Would you like to see ‘A Walk on the Moon’ as it was originally intended to be seen? Would you like to see a MULTI-REGIONAL re-release?
If so, just send your name, email address, city and state (or appropriate substitution) to: firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com and we'll enter your information for a petition (see petition below).
Your email address will not be sent with the petition, it will only be used in our database to ensure there is no duplication of names. Other information will only be used in the petition – no where else!
Thanks in advance for your help!
The petition itself will read:-
In light of the recent public support and exposure of Mr. Viggo Mortensen and Ms. Diane Lane, as well as the broad appeal of the movie, "A Walk On The Moon", it is our belief that there would be substantial benefit to all involved if there were to be a re-release of a "directors cut" DVD.(which includes previously cut scenes), of said movie,. The signatures below indicate the amount of global support you can expect if you see fit to re-release "A Walk On the Moon" on a multi-region basis:
